Patient impact is at the heart of our mission.

Our Commitment

At Ensoma, we work for, and with, patient communities affected by genetic diseases, immune disorders and cancer. We are here to create transformative medicines that deliver a better future for patients, families, and their communities.

We believe the best medicines come from listening to the people they are intended to help. We are committed to hearing directly from patients, sharing information transparently with the community, and collaborating throughout the development of our medicines. At Ensoma, we:

  • listen to the needs of patients and families;
  • inform the communities we serve about our progress;
  • collaborate with patient organizations in areas of shared purpose;
  • build relationships based on mutual respect; and
  • enable informed decision-making about clinical trial participation.

We work every day to turn the breakthrough potential of our technology into a reality. In the meantime, we show up. If you see us at an event, please don’t hesitate to say hello, whether it be at a fundraising walk, a community conference, or a research meeting.

If you would like to learn more about how Ensoma works with patient communities, or if you would like to collaborate with us, please reach us at community@ensoma.com.

Our Clinical Trials

At Ensoma, we are committed to advancing potentially curative medicines for genetic diseases, immune disorders and cancer through precision in vivo cellular engineering. Our clinical trials are a critical part of this journey, bringing us closer to making breakthrough therapies available to patients who need them the most.

What are clinical trials?

Clinical trials are research studies conducted with patients and designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new treatments. These trials help determine whether a new therapy works as intended.

Our approach to clinical trial planning

Clinical trials play a crucial role in understanding how our investigational medicines work in patients. They enable us to seek approval from regulators to make these investigational medicines commercially available. We collaborate with clinical experts, patient advocacy groups, and patient communities to help ensure that our trials are designed with the needs of the patients in mind. By engaging with patients early, we are best positioned to incorporate the patient perspective into the trial design as we work with regulators and clinical experts.

Participating in a clinical trial

The decision to participate in a clinical trial is significant. At Ensoma, we are committed to providing information that potential clinical trial participants, their families, and their doctors need to make informed decisions.

When we start a clinical trial, we share information about the trial, including the eligibility criteria, on www.clinicaltrials.gov to help patients and their doctors understand if they may be interested and eligible to participate. If you’d like to learn more about Ensoma’s clinical trials, you may visit our postings below in “Current and upcoming trials.”

We also encourage you to speak with your doctor. Healthcare professionals may email us at clinical@ensoma.com for more information.

Expanded Access

Ensoma is committed to advancing our gene therapies through rigorous clinical trials. Given the innovative nature of our platform, our therapies are designed to be delivered in controlled clinical trial settings where we can gather essential data on their safety and effectiveness.

Currently, we do not offer expanded access programs outside of our clinical trials. We believe that enrolling in a clinical trial provides the best opportunity for patients to receive access to our investigational medicines, while also contributing to the understanding of their safety and efficacy.
